It’s a bumper year-end edition.
I bought the Arabian Geometric Patterns (Pepin Press) source book for Naeem a while back.
It’s stuffed with pupil-dilating sweeties, from eye-glutting intricates to simple, soothing repetitions.
An all-round pretty practical gifting, we’ve both used it on projects (like this month’s wallpapers).

You wouldn’t believe how hard it was to find an acceptably level surface in our home in order to make this picture work. It’s still not perfectly balanced, but I’m not anal enough to care.

“1940s: French missionaries present King Moshoeshoe I of Lesotho of printed indigo cloth. This is one of the “origin” stories for how the fabric got its name of “shoe shoe.” The other origin story attributes the name to the Xhosa name from the swishing sound it makes when the wearer walks.”
